Live Review: Rome Fortune 'Lights Low' (Produced By Four Tet)

Atlanta MC Rome Fortune has buddied up with prominent London producer Four Tet on new track ‘Lights Low,’ the duo’s second collaboration in recent times.

Atlanta Rapper Rome Fortune has buddied up with prominent London producer Four Tet on new track ‘Lights Low,’ the duo’s second collaboration in recent times.

After the considerable success of mixtapes Beautiful Pimp (2013) and Beautiful Pimp 2 earlier this year, it is no surprise to see Rome mucking in with bigger names in the business like Kieran Hebden’s Four Tet project.

This particular effort sees the latter’s subtlety of production on show, with a beat that steadily climbs, petering out and regrouping before building again. The sprawling sound forms a perfect fit with Rome’s crisp, easy flow.

And it seems that the pair have really hit it off. Not only is this endeavour the second in roughly a month, following the excellent 'One Time For,' but the description for 'Lights Low' on SoundCloud reads "Track 2 of ? between myself & Four Tet.”

Could there be more to come from these two? One can only hope so.
