Back with her first single of the year is Sydney's RAINBOW CHAN. She's been super busy for the last little bit readying her second record, and this is another taste of what to expect.
Drawing inspiration from her various other projects, - Chunyin, her solo electronic endeavour and DIN, where she performs alongside Moon Holiday AKA Alex Ward - 'Love Isn't Easy' sees her teaming up with Korean MC MOLDY to deliver this excellently crafted slice of pop perfection.
Opening with sparse, beautifully arranged keys and floating harmonies, Rainbow Chan's voice powerfully cuts through the atmosphere, singing from the heart. The track details a struggle between lovers, baring one of the most vulnerable and emotionally intense tracks we've heard from her to date.

Her deep understanding of pop music and its conventions is truly on show here, using the verses to showcase her harmonic and writing prowess, and hitting it hard in the chorus, delivering something intensely memorable. Contrastively to Rainbow's dreamy voice, MOLDY delivers rap in his native tongue, bringing faster rhythm and flow to the track.
Rainbow Chan's going to be taking this one to the stage in both Sydney and Melbourne towards the end of next month. Check out those dates below!
