She first landed on our radar back in 2016 with 'Bad Trip', and since then NYNE has collected quite the list of achievements. Featuring on songs from the likes of Allday and Paces as well as touring the country with Mallrat and amassing millions of streams, now NYNE looks to finally release her debut EP, aptly titled Season One. We've already had a handful of singles from her this year, and today we're thrilled to premiering her latest effort, 'Villain'.

Working with rising Melbourne producer HAMLEYNYNE holds nothing back with this single. Full of self-assertion and braggadocio, she positively floats above HAMLEY's hard-hitting beat, putting everyone on notice with her bars. Complete with a sample that was actually captured from a video the Melbourne star was taking while in a taxi with her Nanna Blue on a family trip to the UK ("I will NEVER play her the full song," NYNE said), she delivers a powerful performance over the ominous beat, serving almost as a warning shot to not mess with her as she will come out on top whether you like it or not. Detailing her drive and ambition to not stop until she's reached the top, there's no stopping her on this track!

Speaking of her new single, NYNE said, “I’ve had this song for a while [and] I wish I had this level of confidence everyday! I’m proud of my bars, I wasn’t really afraid to bring that confidence [and] bravado."

With its official release on Wednesday, August 19th, NYNE takes no prisoners with this latest cut. Listen first below:
