Kota Banks returns with an ode to Italy on her new single, 'Fiorentina', this time teaming up with Capo Lee for a huge guest verse too!

Australia is having a pop renaissance moment, and KOTA BANKS is at the forefront. Utilising her innate ability to defy pop conventions and her undeniable lyrical prowess, she (with SWICK right by her side on production duties) crafts effortless, feel-good jams that deliver time and time again. From her recent signing to NLV Records and the consequent sneak peeks into what she's been working on with 'Holiday' and 'Zoom', Banks has returned again today with a new single in 'Fiorentina'.

Powerfully embracing her Italian heritage, 'Fiorentina' is yet another example of just how easily great pop music comes to Banks, and not shying away from a humble flex, she's releasing the track both in English and Italian versions. Somehow making the leap from playing FIFA and smoking reefer to an ode to her heritage and culture, Banks injects "Italian flavour" into her sound while transporting you to a beachside club on the Italian coast line, and it's even Nonna Banks approved!

"This song is probably my favourite on the tape. My nonna gets down to it when she cooks,Banks said, and it's easy to see why. Riding the relaxed, laid back beat courtesy of SWICKBanks' saccharine voice glides seamlessly over the bouncing beats and 8-bit breaks, demonstrating her exciting ability to really push what pop music means to her into a place where she reigns supreme.

Teaming up with CAPO LEE for a guest verse, 'Fiorentina' is another shining glimpse of what Banks has been working on with the NLV Records crew. Having already played a couple of shows with the crew as well as recently supporting DUCKWRTH and now being announced as one of the supports for WHAT SO NOT's enormous national tour, it's clear that Kota Banks season has officially begun!

'Fiorentina' is out now via NLV RECORDS.
