Live Review: Take a deep ride with Human Movement's two-track 'Subcity' EP

HUMAN MOVEMENT have come out with a two track EP, Subcity EP. A dark look into what to expect when you go to a Human Movement show.

HUMAN MOVEMENT have come out with a two track EP, Subcity EP. A dark look into what to expect when you go to a Human Movement show.

The two tracks on this EP, 'Subcity' and 'Hi Hat Conversation' are both over 6 minutes long and while listening to each track you'll be able to hear it develop from what it starts off as into a different version of that track which keeps the same essence and ideas that the track began with.

Human Movement have done a great job with the sounds and feeling to the EP, both tracks feature a rumbling low end with punchy kick drums that keep a steady 4/4 tempo throughout which is the base for the tracks main melody which in 'Subcity' is the lead synth while in 'HI Hat Conversation' it's the repeating vocals along with a distant pulsing sound.

I find tracks like these to be great to listen to while doing something, whether it's writing or travelling it's nice to have this music that's a steady pace which is constantly developing into something interesting.
