Rave kids rejoice! Sydney producer duo HUMAN MOVEMENT put their own stamp on a dance floor classic with the help of drum machines and acidic melodies.
Early noughties rave kids rejoice! Sydney boys HUMAN MOVEMENT have just officially released their remix of seminal DEADMAU5 and KASKADE collab, 'I Remember'. The spacious trance tune is completely re-imagined with added drum machines and acidic melodies, as the duo put their own stamp on a dance floor classic. After being a part of their live sets for some time now and overwhelming crowd responses to its play at shows and cheeky live video, now the remix is available for free!
The familiar chords of the original ground the whole track, pulsing away under Human Movement's additions. Skittering percussion and slowly evolving synths bring an entirely new energy to the classic track. With the addition of a 4 to the floor beat, the track transforms from a languid progressive house tune into a club ready heater.
Halfway in we hear the track stripped all the way back, those familiar chords filtered down and warmth of the vocals setting up a moment of respite among the acid house. Slowly the track builds back up to a huge hands-up-eyes-closed drop, as the drums kick back in and the chords come back in all their glory.

A song with this much nostalgia is ripe for remixing, and Human Movement's additions blend perfectly with it, bringing out the best in the fluid synths and dreamy vocals. In keeping the best parts of the original and channeling a new energy for the track, their remix feels like a modern spiritual successor to the early noughties classic.
Human Movement's remix of Deadmau5 and Kaskade's 'I Remember' is now available for free here.
