Live Review: GXNXVS 'Easily'

Gold Coast producer GXNXVS has dropped his lush new tune, 'Easily'.

Gold Coast resident GXNXVS (pronounced Genius) is a 20 year old producer bearing a keen eye for 90s RnB, LA's beat scene and the trap movement.

Although keeping an extremely low profile, his artistry has seen him work with CVIRO, Vanessa Elisha and Vancouver Sleep Clinic, and dropped his Lately EP late 2013 featuring BanksDrake and The Weeknd remixes. With no intention of slowing down, GXNXVS has just unveiled his new single, 'Easily'.

Brewing in a vibrant pot concocting sparkling vocals, a rough-edged, thickening melody and the subtlety of an underlying keyline, 'Easily' pours into your soul as nothing but a free spirit emitting warmth and a dash of feminity. Subsequent to the initial build-up, the track tricks you as it doesn't actually experience much of a tonal or instrumental shift; though with the development of the vocals and additional percussive elements, it's definitely worth sticking around for as the notion of repitition is completly counteracted.

Tip-toeing across small breaks, fluttering over sped-up tempos and pirouetting in synchronisation with the looped vocal chapters, 'Easily' is a tasteful, finely-cut gem that doesn't only induce a feel-good state of mind, it perfectly represents why the work of GXNXVS garners the ongoing support that it does.

GXNXVS' single 'Easily' is now available for stream and free digital download via his SOUNDCLOUD PAGE.
