Norwegian producer LINDSTRøM has released a jazzed-up Saturday night remix of GRIZZLY BEAR’s ‘Gun Shy’, a sultry back track from the 2012 album Shields.
The remix picks up the pace of the original, adding in extra elements from snappy percussion to bold keyboard. A good 4 minutes of electro before we hear from Ed Droste. LINDSTRøM has changed the spirit of the song from melancholy to lively and carefree.
A combination of disco synth and a pumping bass line provide a 90s dance feel – in clear contrast to the sweeping harmonies and soul vocals of the original. Who would have ever thought that we could hear GRIZZLY in the club?
