From one high to the next Sydney's acclaimed duo Cosmo's Midnight have dropped yet another dreamy single 'Idaho'. The new track marks the band's final release from their highly anticipated second album Yesteryear, set for release October 2.

Dripping in laid-back summer funk, this 70s infused psych-rock tune paints a mesmeric soundscape for the listener with warped electronic sounds, groovy guitars, retro synths, and Pat's stunning falsettos. There's no denying this new release is the perfect tune to take us far away from life's current mundanity to a sun-kissed summer paradise.

Talking about the single Cosmo's Midnight said, "'Idaho' is a funky and laid back song about the ‘grass is greener’ syndrome. The inability to be content about your current life."

"Sometimes you need to go explore an alternate perspective so you realise how good you've really got it. It’s ok to make mistakes cos we’ve got youth on our side."

Twin brothers Cosmo and Patrick Liney have mastered that quintessential alternative, psych-rock Cosmo's Midnight sound, having put their heads together to create yet another stand-out track. With the release of 'Idaho' and a collection of other singles from Yesteryear, this new album is shaping up to be a showcase of the brothers' incredible talent and growth as one of Australia's most reputable duo's.

'Idaho' follows the release of ‘Down For You’, ‘Yesteryear’, ’It’s Love’, ‘C.U.D.I (Can U Dig It)’, and ‘Have It All’ which are all set to feature on the band's new album. Yesteryear is a journey of self-discovery with the boys saying, "It's about reflecting on the past with not only nostalgia but also an element of melancholia ~ all the formative experiences that we absorb growing up both good and bad."

The band also released an accompanying music video for their new single that features snippets of the pair over the past two years including studio sessions, travel, live shows, and lots of life's carefree moments. With 'Idaho' being the final release off Cosmo's Midnight's Yesteryear, the boys have set a high standard for the rest of the album that is sure to be jam-packed with much more hypnotic, entrancing, and downright outstanding music.
