If you have the misfortune to be in Sydney and surrounding regional NSW this morning, you would have woken up to a drearily rainy day and possibly flooding. Luckily, we have some news that might cheer you up.Dream pop indie rockers Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally, better known as the band BEACH HOUSE, made big splashes with their last album Teen Dream in 2010, making it to #5 on Pitchfork’s Top 50 Albums of 2010. So fans were understandably excited at rumours of a new album, Bloom, coming out this year - a rumour that remained unconfirmed until yesterday.
As of yesterday, however, the haunting songstress’s vocals and the duo’s whimsical instrumentals can be caught on their latest track, ‘Myth’, available for streaming from their website. The most exciting thing? When downloaded, the album listing for ‘Myth’ comes up as Bloom.
