We're about a month out from the release of ARCA's highly anticipated new album, KiCK i. We've already had two sneak peeks at what this record has in store for us with 'Nonbinary' and 'Time', and now ARCA has gifted us one more with 'Mequetrefe'.
In a statement, ARCA said, “The song ‘Mequetrefe’ invokes the tenderness behind expressing who you are without shame, and the confidence and bravery it requires, because expression of gender-nonconforming self-states in a public space can often result in static within your environment."
Quickly becoming one of this year's most exciting albums, 'Mequetrefe' is another unpredictable but glowing example of how versatile and exhilarating ARCA is as an artist. We cannot wait to hear what else she has in store.
