"There is very little to differentiate one track from the next."

The German trio continues to move forward by looking back on third album Berlin.

You'd think it would be hard to be frustrated by an album so unabashedly retro, and there are some songs here that really kick arse. The Old Man is emblematic of the '70s stadium hard rock that Berlin offers. The problem is that there is very little to differentiate one track from the next, or indeed from Kadavar's previous albums. The Nico cover Reich Der Traume is a nice diversion; more of these would have made for a more interesting ride.
