Album Review: Job For A Cowboy - Sun Eater

This latest offering sees the five-piece harness guttural technical death metal, placing them amongst the ranks of Revocation and Beyond Creation, especially their emphasis on an audible bass sound. Tasked onerously with writing a record that builds on 2012’s Demonocracy amidst line-up changes, the result is an ambitious and defined record that’s a captivating listen. In heavy metal it’s easy to find one arm of a band that just doesn’t stick. In Sun Eater, the contribution from each member blends seamlessly to create an aurally stimulating portrait of vivid imagery and impressive guitar work.
