Having accepted the fact that The Mighty Boosh won’t be returning to our TVs (or laptops) any time soon, it’s nice to have someone like Jaakko Eino Kalevi — a Finnish native from Helsinki — filling the void.

Kalevi’s music can be best described as visceral groove, or haunting pop, that’s eccentric yet ideal for that occasional lazy highway drive. A tour last year supporting Ariel Pink gave us more of an idea what he’s about and this is a nice little discovery for anyone looking for something that’s thumb-tappingly good from go to whoa.
