"One of the best comedy sets to roll through town all year."
It’s hard to know what to expect from a comic as diverse as Hannibal Buress. On one hand, he’s accustom to shock humour though his exploits on The Eric Andre Show, but at the same time, he’s been mingling with some of Hollywood’s best in films like Secret Life Of Pets and Daddy’s Home and has also become a cult favourite on Comedy Central's Broad City.
When Buress hits the stage, however, he takes on a completely different demeanour; one that will no doubt see him headlining some of the country’s biggest venues in the next few years.
Most international comedians will inject local humour to kick off proceedings, but Buress forged an immediate relationship through a relentless onslaught on Sydney’s lockout laws; bordering on the side of inappropriate at times, but always hilarious.

From there he picked at personal and world issues in what felt like a one-on-one therapy session, with Buress often focusing on small, everyday things hiding in plain site and unpacking them into tirades of comedy gold. Illustrating his improv skills, he tried to buy a baby off a pregnant woman in the crowd before tearing up some of hip-hop's finest.
A few terrible attempts at an Aussie accent later, warped multi-media elements assisted by sidekick/DJ Tony Trimm (including a breakdown of how awesome Buress’ funeral will be) and he’d delivered one of the best comedy sets to roll through town all year.
