"Kentucky's Emarosa are surely one band that never says die."
After a cavalcade of line-up changes since their 2006 conception, Kentucky's Emarosa are surely one band that never says die.
The post-hardcore four piece's tumultuous on-off deal with singer Jonny Craig, former Dance Gavin Dance frontman, and others beside, has not been enough to deter the band from making album number four this time with former Squid The Whale vocalist Bradley Walden. Even with all the upheavals, 131 retains the same sound and fierce spirit of prior releases. Some tracks lack a bit of punch like Sure and Cloud 9, but Walden's vocals are sublime across the board, shining on the punchy One Car Garage, rampant Miracle and gentle Porcelain.
