Album Review: Daybreak - Death Dreams

StarStarStarHalf Star

"Packed full of dirty guitar riffs, chest-pounding bass lines and bloodthirsty vocals."

Fast, heavy and brutal best describes the monster that is Death Dreams, the second EP from Perth's Daybreak

This seven-track is packed full of dirty guitar riffs, chest-pounding bass lines and bloodthirsty vocals. Accompanied by some ferocious lyrical content - "I see my reflection thinking what the fuck have I done" - it conjures up the perfect scenery for one deadly mosh. As each track flows so seamlessly into the next, it could almost pass as a single 20-minute track, each one hitting even harder than the one before. Two years on from Empty Earth, Daybreak have put all they've got into this release full of raw emotion and grit.
