"One of Australia's most underrated frontwomen."

More Dallas Frasca More Dallas Frasca

Dallas Frasca must be one of Australia's most underrated frontwomen.

Though the steam rising from any speaker that pumps out Frasca's whiskey-stained vocals has steadily increased since the band's inception nearly a decade ago, their star seems yet to rise above a passionate-but-humble following. Having said that, new EP Dirt Buzz does feel a tad like trodden ground, but it's nevertheless a hoot in the grand scheme of things. Check Bang and Self Lovin' Is Free are perfectly good dirty blues-rock ditties and Wasting Time and Catch Me When I Fall pick up the pace, but Whisper's atmospheric whispers and quiet energy are highlights.
