Two of Australian rock's most beloved women have been hitting the road differently this year - and they hope others will follow suit.

"For now, there are no words, but there will always be songs," said Midnight Oil frontman Peter Garrett.

"We wanted to do something that wasn’t just loud — but meaningful,” explains Sarah McLeod.

Visuals? Not essential. Giant screens? Meh. All you really need is the legendary Billy Gibbons and his guitar wizardry.

“We’ve been the underdogs, but there’s power in that,” says Dallas Frasca.
