Album Review: Britney Spears - Glory

StarHalf Star

"It'll leave a sour taste in your mouth."

More Britney Spears Britney Spears

Pop icon Britney Spears is back with her ninth studio album and it'll leave a sour taste in your mouth.

She consistently misses the mark, from the over-used auto-tuned vocals in Make Me... and the cheesy electro-pop of Slumber Party and Clumsy, to the fumbled sexuality of Coupure Electrique's French lyrics. Her signature vocals are still amazing, but the amount of auto-tune buries the actual talent she is trying to showcase. Britney Spears is trying too hard to fit into the current pop mould, and the result is a disappointing, over-produced mess.
