Album Review: Blindspot - Selfie Titled

StarStarStar

"The astute observations of these unashamedly old school Perthling punks are hard to contest."

More Blindspot Blindspot

Anyone looking for new directions in punk will probably run screaming to the hills, but the astute observations of these unashamedly old school Perthling punks are hard to contest.

They channel their rage from king hits to party drugs with insight and sneering humour. Their barbs against self-defeating narcissism on the selfie-hating title track and its descriptions of the "false reflection of the life you really lead" ought to be written on subway walls somewhere. The world might be a better place if a few thousand commuters digested this wisdom.
