Tonight, Anyma makes his Australasian debut, playing an exclusive show in Melbourne as part of ALWAYS LIVE in partnership with Untitled Group. Special guests start from just after midday to kick off the day rave under the hot sun and build excitement with DJ acts including Paris, Oliiv, Magnus, Layton Giordani, Cassian and Mind Against.

Towering over Flemington Racecourse, the event features the largest purpose-built screen in the Southern Hemisphere, with an impressive ultra-high-resolution LED display that can be seen far and wide across the sprawling site.

At exactly 9:30 pm, Matteo Milleri, the Italian-American DJ/producer (one half of the duo Tale Of Us), also known as Anyma, arrives on stage and begins to perform his unique fusion of digital art and music.

A soundscape of eerie, ethereal dystopian melodies colliding with techno beats and haunting synths fill the air. We instantly become transfixed by the mesmerising visuals of a robot-like figure looking back at us through the screen, showcasing Anyma’s progressive perspective on human consciousness and technology.

We’re taken on an exciting journey as we witness unparalleled production, a synthesis of unique sound, lighting design, and futuristic visuals that push the limits of the groundbreaking live performance. Anyma blends his genre-defining, meticulously curated selection of melodic techno and deep house with cinematic visuals to create an out-of-this-world experience.

Anyma pushes the creative boundaries beyond the music to create a stunning visual experience that complements the themes of his music. He explores a futuristic narrative through the exploration of technology and artificial intelligence, nature, and humanity's coexistence. The performance blurs the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds, offering a deeply connected and engaging atmosphere on another level.

He progressively builds the atmospheric layers in his performance throughout the 90-minute set, blending melodic house and techno with ambient electronica and classical elements loaded with a unique blend of emotional soundscapes. He creates reverberating heavy synths and distorted mysterious vocals, drawing us into a realm of otherworldly places on a multi-sensory level to hear and feel from every angle.

From the people at the front on stage to the audience spread across the racecourse far and wide, we get lost in the performance and move our bodies along in the sprawling sonic odyssey.

Just when we think the visuals can’t get more impressive, for an epic finale, we watch as a Medusa-like figure emerges on the screens so lifelike that it almost feels like it’s 3D and reaching out to touch us. The cutting-edge technology must be seen to be believed, and no video can do justice to experiencing it in this one-of-a-kind live setting.

Anyma’s live performance is an unforgettable audiovisual experience like no other. It combines compelling electronic music with extraordinary, mind-blowing visual art to elevate our senses to new heights and explore the possibilities of the evolution of humanity and technology.
