Edmonds has a knack for giving full comedic life to both the ordinary and oddball characters that exist in the world. Notably, the old man incessantly looking for human connection on the bus and the egocentric women that Edmonds grew up with in Essendon. Edmonds voices her irritation that some are still debating the question, ‘Are women funny?’ She accurately points out that, with her act, she has well and truly thrown that debate into the dustbin where it belongs.
