US comic Alex Edelman’s Millennial show explores notions of identity, with the occasional foray down an entertaining sidetrack, sort of separate, but equal in intensity.
Edelman understands the ridiculousness that navigating modern living requires, and shares just how easy it is to slip into an argument, the stupidity of which is impossible to ignore. It should be noted that judging by the punters’ reactions, age offers no protection from these.
The self-described “avatar of the depressed millennial” shares being trumped by his grandpa after making his annual Thanksgiving dinner coming out announcement, and how youthful naivety really did not aid him on the Obama campaign trail in 2008, but did come in handy when learning the stand-up trade in less than auspicious circumstances.
