So far we've smashed through 2007 and 2008 mixes. Today we’re ready to show you all what we considered the best of the best tracks of 2009.

We're getting ever so closer to our own TENTH BIRTHDAY celebrations - and if you've been paying attention we've been working our way through the years in mix form.

The Ten Years Of Taste mix series is ten instalments covering 2007-2016 year by year - and is mixed by the one and only, Purple Sneakers DJs, so you know that it’s of the best taste.

So far we've smashed through 2007 and 2008. Today we’re ready to show you all what we considered the best of the best tracks as we once again leap another year into the future/past with our 2009 mix.

We welcomed Susan Boyle into our lives (for some reason) in 2009; we also lost Michael Jackson in 2009; Passion Pit, Miike Snow and La Roux were dominating our mixes in the club; Jersey Shore and Tiger Woods were both busy being awful; Splendour hosted The Flaming Lips, Bloc Party and MGMT - and Major Lazer's 'Pon De Floor' was born.

Let's spin back seven years to a time when indie-dance remixes were definitely at their peak, and Masterchef Australia first brought joy into our lives.
