"It’s surreal to think that I’ll now get to put this message on such an iconic stage."
Ziggy Ramo is set to share an exclusive performance from the Sydney Opera House this month.
Ramo will be appearing on the live-streamed concert as part of the venue's From Our House To Yours digital season and will be sharing his debut album, Black Thoughts.
The album was originally recorded in 2015, with Ramo thinking that he would never release it. He has since chosen to release the album, sharing it on 5 June this year.
“When I wrote this album I didn’t think I’d be alive to see it released," said Ramo.
"It’s surreal to think that I’ll now get to put this message on such an iconic stage. I’m humbled to be allowed to share my story on Gadigal Country.
"I hope this performance can create further conversations that Australia needs to have. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land."
