Zefereli Unveil Joyous New Single 'Satisfied' & East Coast Show Dates

The Brisbane duo will be out and about from September through November

Brisbane indie-pop upstarts Zefereli — aka former Cairos player Alistar Richardson and his partner in dreamy-sounding crime, Clea — are keeping the momentum of 2016 firmly going by following up their lauded recent single Stupid Goodbye with another joyous slice of sweetness with new cut Satisfied.

The sunny, whistle-happy, (largely) feel-good jam arrives in the wake of their announcement as part of the eclectic and inviting line-up for this year's Jungle Love Festival outside Brisbane in November, in addition to joining BANFF and Caitlin Park's tour as local supports at the Black Bear Lodge on Friday 2 September. As Richardson explained in a statement, it's a bit of a celebration on a few fronts.

"I've been recording an album for the best part of six months and just as I was wrapping it up, Satisfied came along and I just felt like it really resonated with how I was feeling at the moment: One part pessimism, two parts optimism," he said. "I've finally pulled my finger out and learned how to record semi-properly and get the sounds I want to get… mixing is a nightmare though; I take an eternity to mix because I'm too invested in it. The harmonies are provided by Clea, who is a superhuman talent and whose EP I'm currently recording now, but she's not finished yet so I got to put this out!"

Their appearance at Black Bear marks the first of a handful of outings for the ascendant duo, who have a headline performance booked at Bistroteque a couple of weeks later, as well as a show in Sydney at the Marly Bar.
