The free online coaching program returns in 2021.
Youth music organisation The Push has enlisted some of Australia’s best artists to mentor emerging songwriters via a free online coaching program.
Teaming with APRA AMCOS, the organisation brings back its Song Writing Sessions, which will feature Sampa The Great, Courtney Barnett, Dallas Woods, Tia Gostelow, Sasha McLeod (Sycco), Booka Nile (Make Them Suffer, Internet Friends), Eamon Sandwith (The Chats) and Jono Tooke (Cry Club) as mentors in 2021.
The aim of the program is to support young music makers in the early stages of their music career by pairing them with “established hitmakers” who will help them develop their songwriting skills.
The program will also provide a space for new artists to workshop one of their own original songs.
“Music has helped me express myself the best way I know how, especially in times when I could not articulate or communicate how I felt,” Sampa The Great said.
