Sydney alternative rock/pop-punk outfit Yours Truly are back, sharing a ripping new single Call My Name – their first taste of new music since releasing their is this what I look like? EP in 2022.
The highly anticipated new single finds singer Mikaila Delgado sounding more formidable than ever, showcasing fresh vocal stylings in the track that finds Yours Truly embracing “heightened rock, emo and dance-ready sparkle”, per a press release. Guitarist Teddie Winder-Haron is insistent and loud – a very good thing – and new drummer Henry Beard shines.
“Call My Name is about the internal struggles of being addicted to a person that you know is bad for you,” Delgado explained in a statement. “You turn away from all their red flags because you have so much hope that they can be the person you created in your dreams. You defend them and begin to blame yourself.
“I realised that we as people crave acceptance from the people who make us feel we are not enough, and on the other side, some people use that power to their advantage. At the end of the day, you realise some things aren’t meant to be, and you need to make peace with that.”
You can watch the fiery music video for Call My Name below.
Later this month, Yours Truly will join fellow rockers Bodyjar, DZ Deathrays, Alex Lahey, Teenage Joans and Birdman (Or The Unexpected Virtue Of A Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band), playing live music as the legend himself, Tony Hawk, hosts the epic skate demo Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 25.

The event will take place at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Saturday, 27 January. You can find tickets here.
2022 saw Yours Truly release the is this what I look like? EP, which featured the bangers Lights On, Careless Kind, and Hallucinate, the latter a collaboration with You Me At Six. While their 2020 album Self Care (ARIA #19 peak) was inspired by conversations between band members about their mental health, is this what I look like? saw Delgado isolated and uncertain about her place in the world.
In addition to releasing a Call My Name today, Yours Truly have announced accompanying single launch dates across the country for this March. You can find tickets via the band’s website.
In other Yours Truly news, the band have officially signed to UNIFIED Artist Management. They’ll be managed by Caleb Williams, who said in a statement, “I have always been a fan of Yours Truly, so it was a real honour to be given the opportunity to work with them.
“I believe the best is still in store for the band, both domestically and internationally, and hearing their new music cemented those beliefs. I can’t wait to work with them for many years to come.”
