'The Lives Of Others' has landed at #2 on this week's ARIA Albums Chart.

More You Am I More You Am I

You Am I have just made a very significant achievement on this week's ARIA Albums Chart.

The much-loved local rock group have taken out this week's #2 position on the chart which would be impressive enough in itself but the achievement has also given the group their highest charting album in 20 years.

It was speculated in mid-week chart figures that the band could land in this week's Top 10 albums which would have secured them their highest chart position since 2006's Convicts which landed at #11 on debut.

Now with the confirmed #2, the band have surpassed the album, as well as 2002's Deliverance (#12), 2008's Dilettantes (#12), 2010's You Am I (#18) and 2015's Porridge & Hotsauce (#20).

In addition to this, they have also surpassed 2001's Dress Me Slowly which came in at #3. This secures the group their highest charting album since 1998's #4 Record, which included much-loved tracks Heavy Heart, Rumble and more.

You Am I have previously claimed the #1 position on the chart three times, in 1995 with Hi Fi Way, 1996 with Hourly, Daily and then again in 1998 with #4 Record
