Yellowcard Announce 'Ocean Avenue' 20th Anniversary Australian Tour

If you haven’t bought a Christmas present for the person in your life who loves pop-punk and emo music yet, here’s your opportunity: Yellowcard will return to Australia in February 2025 with special guests Motion City Soundtrack and Plain White T’s.

Touring Australia for the first time since their breakup in 2017, Yellowcard will be bringing the 20th anniversary of their seminal fourth album, Ocean Avenue, to their fans down under.

Yellowcard aren’t the only ones who haven’t toured Australia in a while. The upcoming tour marks Motion City Soundtrack’s first stops here since 2016, while it’s been even longer for Plain White T’s, who last played in Australia for Soundwave festival in 2008.

Yellowcard said of their imminent return to Australia, “It has taken us a long time to sort out bringing the 20th anniversary of Ocean Avenue to Australia, but we promise it will be worth the wait! This line-up is so good, and we can’t wait to reconnect with our fans down under.”

The tour begins at Perth’s Metro City on Wednesday, 2 April, followed by Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday, 4 April, Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Saturday, 5 April, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, 9 April, Newcastle’s Bar On The Hill on Friday, 11 April, and ends at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Sunday, 13 April.

While Yellowcard disbanded in 2017, they reformed with a set at Chicago’s Riot Fest in 2022. They kept up a touring schedule that took them to Slam Dunk Festival in the UK, When We Were Young in Las Vegas, and the 20th-anniversary celebrations of Ocean Avenue since 2023.
