Yacht Club DJs Announce 'Hooroo!' National Tour

Ballarat-bred party starters Yacht Club DJs have revealed the dates for their aptly titled Hooroo! farewell tour, having announced a little earlier this year that they would be hanging up the headphones after giving us one last chance to get wild and free like only Yacht Club knows how.

Kicking off on the hallowed day of October 31, at Hobart’s Republic Bar (where they will perform again the following night), the extensive jaunt takes in final showings in Byron Bay, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Geelong, Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin, Perth and Mandurah, before wrapping up with a  triumphant double performance back home in Ballarat, at the Karova Lounge, on December 19 and 20. Yeah, they’re not half-arsing it.

Yacht Club DJs have had something of a dream run over the past six years, cutting their teeth with residencies at the Karova Lounge and regular gigs in Melbourne and Sydney before breaking through at the revered Meredith Music Festival, of which they became three-time veterans. Several other high-profile festival spots and tours with fellow enfants terrible such as DZ Deathrays, Bleeding Knees Club, Remi, Dune Rats, Step-Panther and many others, while extending their international profile with support slots for worldly wizards such as Edward Sharp & The Magnetic Zeros, Haim and Mumford & Sons.

It’s been a wild boat ride, so if you haven’t experienced the Yacht Club party yet, you’ll want to make the most of this last opportunity and get yourself through the door – if those who already know the secret don’t totally beat you to it first.
