Xavier Rudd and his eight-piece band of roots rockers The United Nations will be heading out on a huge tour around Australia later this year, to celebrate the launch of their second single, Flag, off their debut, Nanna.
The stalwarts will first play their slot on Splendour In The Grass, then head out on 35 dates across Australia, with stops at the Darwin Festival, Caloundra Music Festival and a slew of regional and metro venues in between from August through October.
The busy nine-piece band have already played sold out shows in New York, Toronto and Montreal and will take to 16 cities across Europe in June and July before they head home for the Flag tour.
Rudd says of the dynamic album's message of solidarity: "This album, this tour, this family, The United Nations is an example energetically and spiritually of where we need to be as a nation".
Back in January, Rudd and the full band released their first single, Come Together, to much acclaim and a number of sold out shows.
