Wunderhorse Plot 2025 Australian Tour

English rock band Wunderhorse will tour Down Under for the first time this September, locking in headline dates across Australia and New Zealand.

The band was set to open for Fontaines D.C. on their Australian tour back in March and play some sideshows, but they pulled out of those dates, citing “unforeseen personal circumstances.”

Last year, Wunderhorse curtailed the difficult second album expectations with Midas and solidified themselves as one of Britain’s most exciting guitar bands. The album followed their 2022 debut album, Cub.

Recorded at Minnesota’s Pachyderm Studio—the birthplace of seminal grunge records, such as Nirvana’s In Utero and PJ Harvey’s Rid Of Me—with producer Craig Silvey, Midas shot to #6 on the UK charts. It significantly increased the band’s profile, taking them to support Sam Fender in UK arenas last December.

“We wanted it to sound like your face is pressed up against the amp,” frontman Jacob Slater told The Guardian. “No frills, no polish – just pure, uncut rock’n’roll.”

This September, Australian fans will experience Wunderhorse’s brand of pure, uncut rock and roll in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, with the band also playing two headline shows in New Zealand. The tour begins at Auckland’s Double Whammy before playing Australian shows, wrapping up the run at Perth’s Freo.Social.
