WILSN Announces Headline East Coast Tour

Shannon Busch, who makes music under the moniker WILSN has announced her headline East Coast tour, with the three shows kicking off in March of 2024. The Melbourne artist has had a cracking year since her debut album Those Days Are Over dropped in February, with a performance at Mushroom’s 50th concert and a support act to the viral Teskey Brothers national tour already under her belt.

WILSN has also been added to the Bluesfest and NYE On The Hill line-ups, in between her tour with Teskey Brothers, as well as sharing stages with Allen Stone and Dan Sultan, and looks forward to hitting the road with her live band for the intimate shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Carving out her place as a soul/pop artist, WILSN’s carefully selected rendition of Renée Geyer’s 1975 song Heading In The Right Direction at Mushroom’s 50th concert and her cover of Better Be Home Soon with Budjerah demonstrates Busch’s range and understanding of her own strengths as a new artist.

Busch told The Music earlier this year, “Soul music never goes out of fashion because it’s pure. It’s all about a great melody, a great beat and harmony that moves you and makes you feel something. In today’s landscape of artists trying so hard to do something different, often for the sake of being different, it’s nice to just engage with the human voice in an unadulterated way.”

WILSN recently released her new single, Can’t Afford Therapy, which, if it’s anything like the artist’s previous singles, Tell Me, You Know Better, and If You Wanna Love Me, will be a quick success and more of the music she says she is “brave enough to tackle.”

“To make soul music, you have to be a long-time fan. You have to be real,” Busch notes.
