I mean, they could look happier about it.
NSW indie four-piece WHARVES are already pretty busy at the moment — they're fresh off making a standout showing at Splendour In The Grass, and set to take BIGSOUND by storm next month — but they've found room to announce an east-coast tour in a few weeks for good measure.
The news of the upcoming sojourn comes in conjunction with the announcement that they've just inked a deal with renowned bookers 123 Agency, whose director, Damian Costin, happened to catch them in action at the Byron Bay festival and immediately make a beeline for the backstage area following their set.
"Really excited to be working alongside the guys," Costin enthused in a statement. "We were front and centre when we heard WHARVES on triple j Unearthed and we saw them play their Splendour In The Grass set, and we locked it in one meeting later."
"For such a new band, with tunes like theirs, we are going to make some waves without a doubt," he continued. "We have some great shows to announce and they will definitely be a highlight at BIGSOUND this year for sure."

It's an enthusiasm shared by the band's manager, Nathan Luke, who described 123 Agency in a statement as being "the most dynamic and exciting agency in the country".
"WHARVES have been working very hard over the last six months, and their live show is world-class," he said. "I knew I just needed to get one of the 123 agents to their gig.
"I was stoked to see Damian himself there and even more impressed when he and one of his top guys, Harry Moore, approached the band literally as they came off-stage."
WHARVES will kick off their east-coast tour in Byron Bay on Friday 25 August, heading north to the Gold Coast before hitting Brisbane for BIGSOUND between 5-7 September.
From there, they round out with a trio of shows in Lennox Head, Melbourne and Hobart.
