Tones & I hits the 'Rocket Hour' show.

More Tones & I More Tones & I

It's been a huge few months for Tones & I and given her latest plug, it doesn't look like things will be slowing down anytime soon.

The legendary Elton John has used Tones & I's track Dance Monkey to open his Rocket Hour on Apple Music Beats 1 show.

"Tones & I and Dance Monkey - brand new," said John after playing the track.

"Tones & I is an Australian singer-songwriter, called Toni Watson, and this track got to #1 in Australia and Norway, and now it’s being released everywhere else in the world and we love it!"

The Byron Bay artist wasn't the only Australian to get a play on the show though with The Teskey Brothers' (dubbed "a soul blues band from Melbourne" by John) Man Of The Universe also scoring a run. Check out the show above.

Dance Monkey's success continues at home with the track holding the #1 spot on the ARIA Singles chart for its sixth-straight week. The May-released single is now equal second for most weeks at top spot on the chart by an Australian female solo artist, joining Kylie Minogue's I Should Be So Lucky (March, 1988) and Merril Bainbridge's Mouth (May, 1995).

If Dance Monkey manages to take out #1 again next week, it will equal Minogue's Locomotion for most weeks ever on top. It also continues to grow in the US, moving up five spots from last week on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart to land at #17.
