A stellar cast to perform in Brisbane and Melbourne.
The 15th anniversary of the annual rockabilly, hot rod, pinup culture event Greazefest is upon us in 2014 and the event will this year take place in early August, in both Brisbane and Melbourne.
The first musical acts have been announced and it's a pretty damn impressive line up for the event once again, with a series of country and rockabilly masters from overseas as well as some of Australia's finest joining the party.
Heading up proceedings will be the brilliant Wayne “The Train” Hancock, the guy that Hank Williams III says “has more Hank Sr. in him than either I or Hank Williams Jr. He is the real deal.” It has been a while since he was last in Australia, so we're very excited to see him bringing his gritty brand of classic country back to our land.

Also making the trip is rockabilly master Eddie Clendening, who has an incredible knowledge of and way of performing classic American rockabilly tunes and Ruby Dee and The Snakehandlers, a duo who will be in Australia for the first time to perform their brand of honky tonk inspire fare.
Locally the likes of A Man Called Stu (ex-Zombie Ghost Train member Stu Arkoff), Pat Capocci, Rusty & The Dragstrip Trio, Scotty Baker, Miss Teresa & Her Rhythmaires, The Hi-Boys, Dan and the Dualtone, The Detonators, Doubleblack and The Saucerman are all going to be onboard for at least one of the shows, if not both, we'll get you further details when they become available.
For now, check the dates below and get more information – or buy your tickets – from the GreazeFest website.
