Watch The 'Bob's Burgers' Kids Rock Out With Sleater-Kinney

What a time to be alive

More Sleater-Kinney Sleater-Kinney

Resurgent rock vets and riot grrrl trailblazers Sleater-Kinney have even further cemented their contemporary street cred — as if they needed to — with their latest video release from eighth LP No Cities To Love, teaming up with the animators of cult favourite animated show Bob's Burgers to create a cartoon cacophony of extreme importance.

For A New Wave, we find eldest Belcher child and proud feminist Tina slipping on some S-K for some bedroom breakdowns, instead finding the band appearing right before her eyes and staging an impromptu rock-out that sees younger siblings Gene and Louise rush in to join the revelry — even the eternally put-upon Bob and Linda make a pretty great cameo. It's a tonne of fun, and it should serve as an excellent entry point for a whole new wave of younger fans of the show to have their eyes and ears opened to the rebellious ways of Sleater-Kinney (or maybe get some older folks to watch more cartoons; either's good).

Watch the clip below and rejoice that you are here, now, to witness its coming.
