Watch Margot Robbie Re-Create Kylie Minogue's 'Come Into My World' Music Video

Robbie explained that re-creating the 'Come Into My World' music video was a "full-circle moment" for her, as the first concert she attended was Kylie's 'Fever' tour.

In October 2002, Kylie Minogue unveiled the single and accompanying music video for Come Into My World, the fourth single from her eighth album, Fever. And now, Australian actress Margot Robbie has duplicated the music video for a Chanel campaign.

The now-iconic music video, directed by Michel Gondry, features duplicated versions of the singer walking in Paris alongside local townspeople. Filmed as a one-shot film at the intersection of Rue du Point du Jour and Rue de Solférino in September 2002, the music video required 50 extras and 15 days of design and digital mastering.

While Margot Robbie’s take on the clip was filmed at a Los Angeles soundstage rather than Paris, she still channelled the singer. She teamed up with Gondry to re-create the video, all while highlighting the new Chanel 25 handbag.

Before multiple Margots stroll through what looks like a Parisian city, Minogue makes a cameo at the very beginning of the clip—a life-affirming moment for Robbie, whose first concert was Kylie in Sydney during her Fever tour.

You can watch the video below.

“It’s kind of a full-circle moment for me, too, because the very first concert I ever went to was Kylie Minogue’s Fever tour,” Robbie explained in a recent interview with Vogue.

Come Into My World was one of the songs on that album, and Michel Gondry directed the video. I remember watching it as a kid and thinking it was so cool and clever—the in-camera trickery he’s so famous for. So that’s what we’re recreating in this campaign.”

Robbie added that re-creating the Come Into My World clip without singing was “actually perfect” as she “can’t sing.”

“It’s actually perfect, because I can’t sing. So, I’m doing Kylie without having to sing and ruin it for everyone,” she said.

Last year, Kylie Minogue embarked on a headline tour across Australia in support of her Tension album—her first tour Down Under since 2019.

Reviewing Minogue’s show at Perth’s RAC Arena, The Music’s Jake Fitzpatrick wrote, “This was a woman who gave it her all, and in doing so, made 15,000 people forget about everything outside the arena, if only for a few hours. Kylie’s legacy is undeniable. Nearly 40 years in the game, and she’s still shimmering as brightly as always.”

Last April, Minogue received the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music at the 2025 APRA Music Awards. She received the recognition after another significant honour last February, when she was presented with a commemorative star at Melbourne Park, marking her 35 years of performing at Rod Laver Arena.
