Two shows into their extensive tour with Kingswood, Sydney's Dear Seattle have unveiled the heartwarming video for Cut You Deep, centering on a group of friends trying to cheer up a mate following a break-up by constructing a massive boot and doing shoeys out of it.

The video is a collaboration between triple j Unearthed and NIDA, a (mostly) feelgood three minutes of the band's finely honed anthemic, earnest indie-rock.

The song plays into the larger narrative of their recently released debut self-titled EP, which vocalist Brae Fisher describes as being "all about reinvention and self evolution following loss".

"Centred around the most painful breakup I have ever had to endure, this record illustrates both the agony of my journey and the internal change I had to conjure to come out the other side with my positivity in my stride.

"Cut You Deep is the apologetic beginning of that journey, as I came to realise that despite what I first thought, a lot of this breakup was no one's fault but my own. The things I did, words I said, how I acted and especially how I overreacted all led me to this point, and I just have to wear it."

The band continue their run of shows with a spot on Tasmania's Til The Wheels Fall Off Festival this Friday, 13 October, and squeeze in a headline show in Melbourne before resuming their string of gigs with Kingswood through Brisbane, Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour, Sydney, the Central Coast, Warrnambool, Adelaide and Melbourne.

They've also got an all-ages show lined up in Campbelltown on Saturday 4 November and another festival appearance at The Plot, in Parramatta, on 18 November.

They'll barely pause for breath before embarking on another live run in support of the new single, taking in headline shows in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, as well as taking time to hit Port Macquarie's Festival Of The Sun in December and UNIFY Gathering early next year.
