Watch 2 Chainz Smoke A Joint Made Of Gold & $800 Weed

US rapper and current Future Music Festival drawcard 2 Chainz is a man well known for his ostentatious tastes but his latest indulgence is basically guaranteed to set the green fire of envy ablaze in the bellies of the world's marijuana enthusiasts, after the rapper was filmed smoking the world's most expensive joint for GQ series Most Expensivest Shit.

In case you've never seen Most Expensivest Shit, it's basically an excuse for 2 Chainz to travel around partaking in the finer things in life — a $300 hamburger, a $2 million car, $250,000 speakers, a $5000 toothbrush, that sort of thing — and now the No Lie rhyme-smith has outdone himself for his second-season premiere by getting blazed with a joint made with rolling paper covered in 24-carat gold and weed that costs $US800 an ounce.

And then, for kicks, they set a giant, ounce-capacity - and totally packed - pipe... bowl... cauldron, whatever... alight, because if you're going to be extravagant, you may as well be extravagant as hell.

2 Chainz is aided in his quest to smoke up like a sultan by "medical marijuana consultant" Dr Dina, whom the video describes as being a "real-life Nancy Botwin" (the suburban mum-turned-pot-kingpin in Weeds). It's from the good doctor that 2 Chainz acquires the pricey pot, which retails for about $US100 a can (about $US800 an ounce).

It's clearly pretty good stuff, too, with 2 Chainz devolving rather rapidly into typical stoner pseudo-philosophy over the baffling science of gold-covered rolling papers: "How'd they get it to do that?" he ponders. "They had to know somebody to do that."
