WAM Song Of The Year First Judges Announced; Deadline Extended

The first round of judges for the annual WAM Song Of The Year competition have today been announced, while the entry deadline has also been extended by a few days. 

Originally intended to close on 25 January, applications will now be cut off at 11am on Thursday 28 January. 

With 16 categories covering all genres, over $40,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs including cash prizes, free studio recording time with some of the best WA producers and more. 

Meanwhile, some of the most renowned industry identities will assess each WAM Song Of The Year entry including Birds Of Tokyo drummer Adam Weston and Eskimo Joe drummer Joel Quartermain.

Other additions to the judging panel include Chris Cobcroft (RZZZ), Damian Cunningham (Live Music Office) Stephen Goodhew, (FBi Radio), Simon Winkler (Triple R), Emily Urquhart (Rock Scholars), Vanessa Phillips (RTRFM)  Chris Maric (Maric Media), Anthony Jackson (X-Press Magazine) and theMusic's own Kane Sutton and more, with plenty to still be announced.
