Where do we get a 'Billow'?
Bill Murray’s mythos is legendary at this stage, so you can image just how epic a time you’d have if by some stroke of luck you sat next to him on a plane; an encounter WA singer-songwriter Ruby Boots, aka Bex Chilcott, was lucky enough to score.
Currently residing in the US while working on her second record, Boots was returning to her home away from home, Nashville, after playing a Halloween show in Chicago with South Carolina artist Nikki Lane when not only meeting Murray, but becoming friends with him.
"After spotting Bill Murray in a sea of people at the Chicago Midway Airport, Nikki and I whispered to him that we shared a mutual friend,” Chilcott told The Music.
“After spending the next three hours together we had ridden escalators backwards, talked life, music and baseball, used him as a ‘Billow’ and had a lunch date.”

It’s not the first time Chilcott has mingled with some of Hollywood’s finest, back in July being invited onstage by Kevin Bacon.
It’s been a good week for Ruby Boots, having claimed Best Country Act at the WAMAwards last night, and 2017 is already shaping up nicely with her sophomore record expected to drop mid-year.
