A family emergency causes the band to pull out of the rest of the tour
Danish heavy rock outfit Volbeat have pulled out of their remaining Soundwave Festival shows due to a family emergency.
The festival confirmed the news earlier today on its official Facebook, with a photo of the revised timetable for today's Adelaide leg.
"VOLBEAT have been forced to withdraw from Soundwave due to a Family Emergency. Our thoughts are with them," the caption read.
No official statement from the band has been released at this stage.

The band performed at last weekend's events in Brisbane and Sydney, plus yesterday in Melbourne, posting on their Facebook: "Another beautiful day in Melbourne, another awesome show with the Aussies." They also played two sideshows during the past week with Filter and Hacktivist - their replacement shows in the wake of Megadeth's Soundwave cancellation.
To make up for the cancellation, Adelaide thrash metallers Truth Corroded will play in Volbeat's vacated spot of 3:20pm, while fellow local SE BON KI RA will perform a 20 minute set at 8:40pm.
Soundwave will finish up its 2014 campaign in Perth this Monday.
