If you missed the chance to catch Naarm/Melbourne heavy icons Void Of Vision during their farewell tour, then you’ve got one last chance, with the band announcing the details of their final show.

The Melbourne quintet, who first formed in 2013, announced last year they would be hitting the road one last time in early 2025 with the intent to split for good following their trek.

“It’s a nice legacy to leave behind,” vocalist Jack Bergin told The Music this year. “You’re not fading or fizzling out; you’re going out on top and in the best way possible. I think everyone understands and respects our decision.”

Indeed, after the release of final album What I'll Leave Behind in September, and a trail of national tour dates, Void Of Vision officially wrapped up with a date in Perth in February. But that’s not quite all, because how does a Melbourne band say farewell to their home city? The answer, of course, is with a massive show at iconic venue The Forum.

For one final show, Void Of Vision will be taking to the stage for a massive headline performance, with the gig scheduled to take place at The Forum on Saturday, July 5th. “One final time at The Forum in Melbourne alongside our family and friends,” the group wrote.

While full details of the lineup are yet to be announced, a poster specifies that the line up will feature “support from our best friends,” indicating a rather special roster of bands.

Tickets to the final Void Of Vision show are on sale from 11am local time on Thursday, April 17th, with a Destroy All Lines pre-sale beginning 24 hours earlier.

Of course, while Void Of Vision have indeed called it quits (and with a few months to go before the door is shut permanently), Bergin has been heavily involved with the world of music still, having recently taken the helm of triple j’s new heavy music program, CORE.
