The band's East Coast Crusher brew is available now
Among the many endearing qualities possessed by the members of Violent Soho, the fact that they obviously share a deep bond and care a great deal about their mates has always been chief among them.
The lads are only just over a week out from setting off on a gigantic national tour with their friends in Luca Brasi and The Bronx, and, while that journey will undoubtedly prove a most excellent adventure for all involved, a new video from craft-beer brewers Stone & Wood highlights a more low-key side to the larrikins' sense of mateship. Indeed, the very real ties that bind together one of the nation's most celebrated rock acts simply shine through in The Slow Road: Chapter Two — Violent Soho, taken on a recent trip to the company's brewery in honour of the band's own beer, East Coast Crusher By Violent Soho.
It's immediately apparent on the way there, while members James Tidswell and Mikey Richards share some irreverent banter in their vehicle, marvelling at their circumstances — they can hardly believe they have an eponymous beer, made by a company they evidently respect — and reflecting on the natural beauty of the environment as they drive.
"I'll tell you what, if there was, like, hobbits in Australia, they would live here… this part," Richards says, as Tidswell cracks up. "And they'd be little surfer hobbits," the latter laughs.

Arriving at the brewery, more humour ensues as Richards struggles to exit the vehicle ("How do you do that? How do you open the door again?" he asks no one in particular, Tidswell having departed without issue) before joining up with the Lukes — Boerdam and Henery — to witness their brew come to life.
"It's like a dream come true to make a beer with our favourite beer company in the world," Tidswell marvels.
"They have the same approach to making beer as we do to music; they just want to keep it simple and honest, and that's how we approach our music," Boerdam adds.
