Straight Arrows join them for seven dates around the country.
Violent Soho have just wrapped up a super quick jaunt up the east coast where they previewed tracks from their forthcoming Hungry Ghost record to packed houses in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Today they announce significantly bigger shows to celebrate the album's release, taking them to almost every capital city in the country.
We'll just come out and say it, Hungry Ghost is a really, really good record and will be one of the best Australian heavy albums of the year. It's raw, loud, catchy and full of guts and if the shows last week are anything to go by, these songs will be amazing in the band's live set for the rest of their career. Given the band's already established brilliance on the live stage, it looks like we're in for some good times with Violent Soho in the future.
Perhaps Sydney's finest garage rock band – hell, perhaps Australia's best – Straight Arrows will be coming along for the ride on this tour, another band with a brilliant, spontaneous live show and a swag of songs so damn good they'll make your face hurt from smiling. They play each of the seven dates announced for the tour.
