Victorian Government Looking For 700 Buskers To Perform Across Melbourne

They'll join the likes of Daryl Braithwaite, Tash Sultana, Budjerah and more.

The Victorian Government and the City Of Melbourne are seeking musicians of a range of genres to perform as a part of the On The Road Again busking program.

Over four weeks beginning on the 17th of February, up to 720 performances will be brought to the streets of Melbourne, showcasing local talent.

In December, Tones & I kicked off the free pop-up gigs that also included performances from some of Australia’s biggest acts, including Vika & Linda Bull, Amy Shark, Daryl Braithwaite, Tash Sultana, Budjerah and The Pierce Brothers.

On The Road Again reaffirms and celebrates Melbourne being the official music capital of Australia.

The initiative also supports a jam-packed calendar of events throughout the year that will feature artists including Baker Boy, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Isaiah Firebrace, Kaiit, Gordi and Music In Exile.

Performers across Victoria are encouraged to submit an expression of interest via the City Of Melbourne website HERE.
