Velociraptor Plot 2025 'Don’t Hiat-Us, Hate The Game' Farewell Tour

Brisbane party starters Velociraptor have shared some bittersweet news with fans today, announcing their impending hiatus, but not without saying farewell.

From October to December, the band will play a handful of shows along the East Coast on their Don’t Hiat-Us, Hate The Game farewell tour. The shows begin with an appearance at the 50th anniversary of 4ZZZ in Brisbane on Saturday, 25 October, where they’ll share the stage with The Saints ’73-’78, Regurgitator, Tropical Fuck Storm, and many more.

The tour continues at Melbourne’s Stay Gold on Saturday, 15 November, followed by Sydney’s Mary’s Underground on Friday, 21 November, and concludes at Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on Saturday, 13 December. “A full quorum of eight ‘Raptors is guaranteed for all shows, potentially more where logistics allow,” according to a press release.

In 2023, Velociraptor returned from a hiatus and released a string of singles. In 2024, they released the album Computer Future, with the singles Computer Future – Part 1, Leaving Hollywood and Falling showcasing the band’s many singers and their unique strengths.

Taking to social media, Velociraptor revealed that the upcoming shows will be their last “for the foreseeable future.” They added, “We know. It sucks. Life, hey? Sometimes it just gets in the way.

“The Don’t Hiat-Us, Hate The Game 2025 Tour, is gonna be one last victory lap up the east coast, bringing all the guitars, all the chaos, and all the good times we possibly can. If you've ever lost your mind at one of our gigs before (and odds are high you did), this is your chance to do it one last time.”

Velociraptor are: Jeremy Neale, Lauren Jenkins, Corey Herekiuha, Joshua Byrd, Jesse Hawkins, Jake Grossman, Ruby McGregor, and Simon Ridley.
